This weekend we ventured off the island and headed to Seattle.
Check out the view off the early morning ferry. The glory of Mt. Rainier never ceases to take my breath away.
We headed to University Village which pretty much is the most amazing place to shop. As much as I love shopping in downtown I really love a trip to University Village. It's like going on a mini-vacay.
We had lunch at Veggie Grill and popped in Crate & Barrel and Pottery Barn. I'd been making a Crate & Barrel list for months. We ended up having to drive up to Crate & Barrel's "customer pick-up area." That's where customer's that have been making a list for several MONTHS pick up their bags.
Have you ever walked into what I call "Catalog Heaven?" It's when you look at a catalog for years and years and then one glorious day you actually waltz into the store!
It's only happened to me a couple of times but it happened when I walked into West Elm/Seattle for the first time this weekend.
I turned to Greg and said "I feel like I'm in the catalog." As soon as we walked in he wanted to know what was on the list. I turned and said "Don't speak. Don't spoil this moment. Let me just wander through the loveliness."
Then we headed to Whole Foods which is another one of those favorite stores I love to just wander.
You'll never believed what I found.
Seriously. Have you seen any cookies like these in your state?I went home and ate the hair off of Romney's head.
Speaking of Romney~I voted!
I honestly don't get why people are so secretive about who they're voting for. I guess it's because they think their choice might offend someone that doesn't share their political views, or they might lose friends {in real life} or followers on facebook and twitter. Maybe it's because somethings in life really should be private. I'll have to admit I've stopped following a handful of tweeters after reading some of their political tweets. I certainly didn't stop following them because of who they were voting for. I stopped following them because of the viciousness of their tweet. Things have gotten dirty and ugly and there's just noway I'm continuing to follow someone on twitter who has no problem trying to belittle {make fun of} things that have always been the foundation of my Christian beliefs. Amy shared a post entitled Indivisible not long ago. I'll have to admit; after reading Amy's post I let her know I really didn't mean {I was only teeeeeeZing} what I tweeted during the Vice-Presidential debate nor did I mean to tweet Bret Baier when he asked how we were feeling during the 2nd Presidential debate.
Okay.
Enough already about politics.
I'm sure there's not one person that gave a rat's ass that I stopped following them on twitter due to offensive political tweets. Anyways~I decided to PRAY instead of TWEET during the last Presidential debate. And that's what I'll be doing Election night.Moving on to FUR~BALL LOVE!
This little Sweet-Pea loves to hike!
I can't get enough of hiking through the leaves on Bainbridge Island.
It's so much fun hiking with two fur-balls! Doogan loves being the big-bro leading Isabelle on the trails.
My heart is so full with 2 fur-babies to love. Can't imagine life without Isabelle. She's the perfect fit in our family.Life is good.
Life is sweet.
I am grateful.
How was your weekend?
I'd love to know.

It sounds like you had a wonderful weekend- I dropped a couple of blogs because they were just outrageously nasty about my candidate. I don't rave on about politics OR religion and I don't think anyone has the right to belittle another's choice. I certainly am voting for change and re-growth and my Christian convictions though.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you and your "kids". xo Diana
