Always Follow BRIDGET! XO

Last night I made COOKIES!

Oh I LOVE COOKIES!

I LOVE it when my kitchen is over~flowing with COOKIE~LOVE!
You know THE FEELING!
It's BLISS~FUL!
Really it is!

Guess who was with me while I was BAKING COOKIES?
BRIDGET!
BRIDGET...Bake at 350...
was with ME while I was BAKING COOKIES!

I know!
I know!
You don't believe me!
You think I was DREAMING!
Dreaming about BRIDGET...QUEEN of the SUGAR~COOKIE...baking with me!

I will admit!
I do spend time day~dreaming!
Day~dreaming about Bridget coming to Bainbridge!
Last night...in my kitchen...while I was baking...she WAS there!
Pinky~Promise!
BRIDGET was there...in MY HEART...the entire time I was baking!
In fact!
We were even texting the other day while I was roaming about Central Market!
Bridget was texting me about BUTTER!
I needed to know if I should buy the BUTTER on sale...or the expensive butter!
Should I buy unsalted...or salted?
You'll have to TEXT her to see what she said!
It's privileged information...between the QUEEN of COOKIES and myself! ;o)

I really was GIDDY that BRIDGET was baking with me!
Giddy~Giddy~Giddy!
That's what I was!
But then!
I was not so GIDDY!
Bridget was gone!
I made a decision...in my kitchen...without BRIDGET!
Put it this way!
I wondered off the BRIDGET~PATH!
I crowned MYSELF QUEEN!
{big mistake!}
I decided to create my own ICING!

Yep!
That's what I did!

At first I was AMAZED at myself!
I had this big~ole GRIN on my face! ;o)
Adding the SECRET ingredients to the Kitchen Aid mixer bowl had never been
this thrilling!
But deep~deep down in my soul!
I knew!
I knew!
I just knew it was going to back~fire!
And I wondered what BRIDGET would think?
BRIDGET!
BRIDGET!
BRIDGET!
At least she wasn't in MY KITCHEN at the moment!
At least she didn't witness me wondering off the BRIDGET~path!

Slowly but surely the GIDDY~GRIN turned PANIC!
OMGoodness!
I went into RESCUE mode!
Cranking up the mixer to full speed was not helping!
Icing~powdered sugar~CORN SYRUP...carnation milk...was EVERYWHERE!
It was like a MAD~COOKIE MAKER science experiment!

Flustered and fluttering...I began to cry call!
BRIDGET!
BRIDGET!
BRIDGET!
I also began adding all of BRIDGET's ingredients to the icing!
And!
I began texting Bridget pictures!
I began CONFESSING!
CONFESSING my wrong doings to The Cookie Queen!

I told Bridget I would never~ever~ever~never wonder off the BRIDGET~path again!
Never~ever!

Like MAGIC the icing turned out LOVELY!
It was glossy...and sweet!
Once it was on the cookies...it was PERFECT!
Like MAGIC...it all came together!

Maybe the Queen of Cookies "pooooooofed" my cookies all the way from Texas!
Maybe Bridget made a COOKIE~WISH!
And it was granted!
Whatever the case!
I learned a lesson!
I learned a great big COOKIE lesson!

Always!
And I mean ALWAYS...Follow BRIDGET!
